Plants
A wide variety of plants, they vary between indigenous (look into that) as well as invasive species. These species would would include naupaka, ginger, bougenvelia, palm trees, different varieties of grass, strange vines growing on the ground with yellow flowers (invading and taking over other plants areas), jabong trees and more. For animals I have seen several fish, ducks and other birds, geckos and insects. Plenty of mosquitos o go around.

The Jabong tree keeps dropping jabongs into the river and they stop behind rocks and get stuck between them or behind and rot in the stream. It seems as though only the submerged part of the jabongs are being affected and changing. Could this be from the fish eating it?
Examples of symbiotic relationships: palm tree has some other type of plant possibly rooting into the body of it. Parasitism or commensalism? Further investigation necessary.
What relationship is there between the the plants and the animals in this eco-system?
What is the source of the water? If the rocks were not in the middle of the stream, could the fish have homes? Do the rocks provide a home for the fish?

There is a combination of tall grasses and short grasses, investigate further to see if there is any animals living in them and if so than how do the animals in the tall grass differ from the animals in the short grass? Across the stream there are leaves that seem just like taro leaves, but are not (according to Ian who has the same ones plants growing on the side of his house) , find out if they are related and part of the same species.

This is a good spot to study because there is a such a wide range of different plants and animals. It is also a very diverse environment in the sense that there are organisms in the water as well as on land.
